There are many ways to get involved with Ride or Stride!
Bike in one of the 3 route options

37-mile Gravel Grinder: start time 7:45 a.m.
- This ride is on scenic maintained active roads & unmaintained fire/Jeep roads. A challenging route recommended for experienced riders. Cyclocross, gravel bike or a mountain bike required. NOT for road bikes.
- Ride with GPS

23-mile Backroad Burner: start time 9:30 a.m.
- This road ride is on a beautiful, low traffic country roads along lakes and through Devils Hopyard State Park. Includes a few challenging hills.

10-mile Causeway Cruiser: start time 10:00 a.m.
- A shorter road ride passing a farm and the lakes.
Stride in the 5K Foliage Walk/Run: start time 11:00 a.m.
- Walk or run. This run will be timed. We welcome all “169 Club” runners!

Start & Finish at the Moodus Sportsman’s Club on 299 East Haddam-Colchester Turnpike, Moodus, CT. Don’t forget to join us after for a post-race picnic and exciting raffle prizes!

About Us
East Haddam Youth & Family Services (EHYFS) is a private, non-profit agency dedicated to inspiring the potential of and promoting the positive and healthy development of youth and families. EHYFS strives to create and enhance opportunities which advance the quality of life for all youth and families within our community by providing a spectrum of prevention, intervention and advocacy services.
Your donation of:
- $35 would support one middle school student attending SHARP (Safe Home Alone Readiness Program) or one individual or family counseling session.
- $50 Would support one session (two months) of a homework assistance program at the middle school.
- $100 would support one elementary school Family Night.
- $300 would support a summer Beach Party for middle and high school students.
- $500 would pay for one parent workshop.
- $1000 would pay for a middle or high school assembly.
Ride or Stride is a charity event organized by the EHYFS Board of Directors and run entirely by volunteers.
